The arti, or candle, ceremony (evening prayer) is done throughout India as a purification ritual to end one day and welcome the next with a clean slate. Jeremy is on the banks of the Ganges in the holy city of Rishikesh. He was welcomed to participate in the arti with Swami Ji, a guru/swami with a following of millions throughout the world. The ceremony ends with an offering of flowers and candles and a prayer set adrift in the flow of the Ganges.
